Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) Admissions
Admissions to the Four-Year Integrated B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. Programmes of Pondicherry University for the academic year 2026–2027 shall be based on the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), Government of India.
Candidates seeking admission to the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) must have appeared in the prescribed NCET 2026 subject combination applicable to the programme and satisfy the minimum eligibility requirements prescribed by the University.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible only for conducting NCET 2026 and publishing the scorecards. Preparation of merit lists, counselling, seat allotment, document verification and final admission shall be carried out by Pondicherry University in accordance with the rules and regulations of the University and Government of India.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify the programme-wise eligibility criteria, required subject combination and reservation norms before submitting the application.
Important Note: Candidates must have appeared for the prescribed NCET 2026 subject combination applicable to the programme(s) for which they are applying.
Applications will be considered only for those programmes whose required NCET subject combination matches the subjects opted by the candidate in NCET 2026.
Candidates who have not appeared for the prescribed NCET subjects, or whose NCET score is unavailable, shall not be considered for admission.
Once the application fee has been paid successfully, the payment shall be treated as final and will not be refunded under any circumstances including ineligibility, incorrect programme selection, multiple applications, mismatch of NCET subjects or withdrawal of application by the candidate.

Candidates applying for more than one programme shall pay the applicable Recurring Application Fee for each additional programme selected.
Once the registration fee has been paid successfully, the payment shall be deemed final and non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to ineligibility, submission of multiple applications, incorrect programme selection, withdrawal of application, or any other reason whatsoever.

Reservation Policy
- Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15%
- Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5%
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 27%
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10%
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) – 5%
Supernumerary Quotas
- Sports Quota
- Defence Personnel (Serving / Retired) Wards
- NCC Quota
- NSS Quota
- Wards of Pondicherry University Employees
Except for Category-I Sports Quota, appearance in NCET 2026 is compulsory for all supernumerary quota categories.

Candidates are advised to complete the online application process well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues or network congestion.
- Admissions are provisional and subject to verification of original documents.
- Candidates awaiting qualifying examination results may apply, but must produce proof of eligibility before the prescribed date.
- Eligibility marks shall not be rounded off.
- A minimum of 70% attendance is required to appear for University examinations.
- Students admitted to the programme shall be covered under Group Medical Insurance.
