CUET (UG) 2026–2027 Admissions
4-Year U.G. (Hons.) & 5-Year Integrated P.G. Programmes
Admissions to the 4-Year Undergraduate (Honours) and 5-Year Integrated Postgraduate Programmes of Pondicherry University for the Academic Year 2026–2027 shall be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), Government of India.
Candidates seeking admission must have appeared for CUET (UG) 2026 with the prescribed Domain Subject(s) applicable to the programme(s) for which they are applying and satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the University.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible only for conducting CUET (UG) 2026 and publishing the scorecards. Preparation of merit lists, counselling, document verification, seat allotment and final admission shall be carried out by Pondicherry University in accordance with the rules, reservation policy and admission regulations of the University.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify the programme-wise eligibility criteria, intake and required CUET (UG) Domain Subject(s) before submitting the online application.
Important Note: Candidates must have appeared for the prescribed CUET (UG) 2026 Domain Subject(s) applicable to the programme(s) for which they are applying.
Applications shall be considered only for those programmes whose required CUET (UG) Domain Subject(s) match the subjects appeared by the candidate in CUET (UG) 2026.
Candidates who have not appeared for the prescribed CUET (UG) Domain Subject(s) shall not be considered for admission.

Candidates applying for more than one programme shall pay the applicable Recurring Application Fee for each additional programme selected.
The registration fee shall be paid only through the online payment gateway available in the admission portal. Applications submitted without successful payment (where applicable) shall not be considered. The registration fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted or refunded under any circumstances including ineligibility, incorrect programme selection, multiple applications, withdrawal of application or any other reason whatsoever.
Reservation Policy
- Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15%
- Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5%
- Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) – 27%
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10%
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) – 5%
Supernumerary Quotas
- Sports Quota
- Wards / Dependents of Defence Personnel (Serving & Retired)
- NCC Quota
- NSS Quota
- Wards of Pondicherry University Employees
Candidates claiming admission under any Supernumerary Quota shall fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions. Except for Category-I Sports Quota, appearance in CUET (UG) 2026 is compulsory for all quota categories.
General Instructions
- Admission is provisional and subject to verification of original certificates and supporting documents.
- Candidates shall satisfy the programme-wise eligibility criteria prescribed by the University.
- Students admitted to the University shall be covered under Group Medical Insurance.
- A minimum of 70% attendance is mandatory to appear for the University examinations.
- The University reserves the right to modify, cancel or withdraw any programme or admission process for administrative reasons.
- Programme-wise eligibility, intake and CUET (UG) Domain Subject requirements are available in the Information Brochure.
Candidates are advised to read the Information Brochure 2026–27 carefully before filling the online application. Submission of an application does not automatically guarantee admission. Admission shall be strictly based on eligibility, CUET (UG) score, reservation policy, availability of seats and successful verification of original documents.
